October 22 (Renewables Now) – The project development arm of Hexagon Holdings Singapore has ordered 200 MWp of Longi Solar mono Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) modules for a portfolio of shovel-ready projects in Vietnam.
The deal was announced by the Chinese photovoltaics (PV) maker on Monday, while financial details were not provided. The order will see Longi supply mono PERC products with a nominal capacity of up to 435 Wp.
The equipment will be powering utility-scale PV parks in Vietnam that Hexagon Peak intends to bring online by the first quarter of 2021. According to the press release, the Singaporean group’s unit is currently in the process of purchasing an over 200-MWp portfolio of solar projects in Vietnam, slated for completion in January-March 2021. Those power plants will be installed by local engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors and, once operational, will be selling electricity to Vietnamese utility EVN.
